Cellphone's Dead / Beck
Dès le premier regard, on reconnaît la signature du réalisateur Michel Gondry: un huis-clos aux allures de papier-mâché, une caméra fluide qui crée un rythme cyclique, une atmosphère complètement surréaliste et... le chanteur Beck. On apprécie une fois de plus le génie de Gondry, mais on reproche un tantinet la redondance du concept. Cette fois-ci, ça manque d'éclat.

This clip has absolutely director's Michel Gondry signature : a "huis-clos" that has a "papier-maché" look, a fluide camera that creates a cyclic rythm, an atmosphere totally surreal.. and the singer Beck. We salute once again the genius of Gondry, but blame a wee bit the redundancy of concept. Where's the firework?
